No matter what industry you compete in, you will have to make sound executive decisions; develop and execute business strategies; and, negotiate with business partners, vendors, customers and employees.
 
Excelling as a business development professional demands both analytical assessments and subjective reasoning. Assessing business opportunities and resolving business quandaries requires data driven analysis as well as the mental dexterity that results from a multi-dimensional approach to business development.

Developing highly granular financial models without considering the human element of execution is an exercise in futility. Implementing business plans without subjecting them to numerical scrutiny is a gamble, not a strategy.

As you pursue the CBDP designation, you will gain exposure to case studies of seminal business issues that emanate from a wealth of industries. You will also be presented with teachings from disciplines as diverse as game theory, evolutionary psychology, behavioral economics and anthropology. The CBDP courses are designed to provide you with practical and actionable ideas to manage the opportunities and challenges that lie before you.

The Business Development Academy is dedicated to impressing upon employers and clients, the unique value proposition that CBDPs bring to full-time positions as well as dedicated engagements.

 
To become a CBDP you must attend three days of training. To satisfy the course requirements you must attend:
 
1.  The Enhanced Negotiating Strategies seminar.
2.  Either the Strategic Decision Making for Business Leaders or the Strategic Planning & Execution seminars.
3.  For the third day of training you may take any course (s) offered* through The Business Development Academy, Certified Patent Valuation Analyst or Institute for Strategic Negotiations programs. The courses you choose for the third day of training must entail at least seven hours of training.
 
Exams are waived for candidates who complete their coursework before the end of 2013. 
 
 

 
In addition to being exempt from examinations and relieved of the related fees, you will receive a 15% discount when you concurrently register for all of the course requirements before December 30, 2013.
